An additional interchangeable head for customers who already own a Yorkshire Foundry Complete Kit.

Hard to think of anything more festive.
The easy way to bring Christmas to the door without buying a new knocker. Swap the head onto the base you already own and the season arrives in a minute.

Ruddy cheeks. Detailed beard. Fur-lined hat. Modelled on the classic Father Christmas, with rounded features and just enough mischief behind the beard to suggest he’s keeping score.

Every one starts as a wax pattern, 3D-printed for detail no hand tool can reach, then investment cast one at a time. That’s why the beard and fur trim stay this fine.

Starting from scratch? The Santa complete knocker comes with the base and fixings.

It attaches to the base you already own in seconds. No new holes, no drilling. You’ll need at least one complete kit to begin with, but every head in the range fits the same base.

Cast in Yorkshire in AB2 aluminium bronze, with the warm golden tone most people call brass. It arrives bright and will darken with time and touch. A quick polish brings it back.

Backed by a 30-year guarantee. If it’s not right, we’ll make it right: 90 days for a full refund, no faff. Buying it as a gift? It arrives in plain, recyclable packaging ready to give.

Sits well on painted timber, a pine garland, a wreathed cottage door, or any door that sees more than one mince pie in December. Up for Christmas, then swap back when the season turns.

Material. AB2 aluminium bronze, left unlacquered. It will not rust. It handles salt spray, rain, frost, and decades outdoors. The warm brassy colour deepens with age. Nothing is plated on, so nothing chips off. It weathers far better than brass. The full spec is CuAl10Ni5Fe4.

Casting. Investment cast from 3D-printed wax patterns. Whiskers, feathers and fur come out in detail no hand tool can reach. Every piece is finished and checked by hand.

Fixings. Front-screw fix to the door face. Fits composite doors, solid wood doors, and metal doors. No through-bolts, no drilling all the way through.

System. The head separates from the base. Fit the base once, swap the head as often as you like. Forty-plus heads in the range, plus a wreath holder.

Head only. Just the head. It attaches to the starter kit from a Complete Set already fitted to your door. If this is your first Yorkshire Foundry knocker, you need the Complete Set.

Guarantee. 30 years.

It arrives fresh from the foundry in the warm colour people call brass, and it won't stay that colour. It has a living finish: it darkens where it sits out of the rain and brightens where rain runs off it. Give it time and it looks as if it has always been on that door.

If you want it bright again, a quick buff with a soft cloth and a little brass polish brings the warm colour back to life. We do not lacquer it, because we would rather keep the character than the gloss.

Left alone, it keeps getting darker with time and touch. The finish moves. The casting carries our 30-year guarantee against defects in materials or craftsmanship.

Frequently asked

Do you offer other finishes, like silver, chrome or antique brass?

We don't plate. Every head is cast and left as the metal: a warm golden tone most people call brass, which deepens as it ages. If you want a different colour, we can hand-finish a head in Cerakote, a hard-wearing ceramic coating, in almost any shade, made to order. Email us and we'll sort it.

How big is it?

Every product page lists the exact head and full-set dimensions. As a guide, a full knocker stands around 21cm tall and 9cm wide, with the depth changing a little from design to design.

Do you ship to the US or worldwide?

We ship from Yorkshire to the EU, EEA, Switzerland, Jersey, the USA, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Hong Kong, Japan, Singapore and the United Arab Emirates. Delivery is £14.95 to the EU, EEA, Switzerland and Jersey, and £24.95 to the others. Any import duty or tax is set by your own country and charged on arrival. Anywhere else? Email us for a delivery quote.

Is it really guaranteed for 30 years?

Yes. Every knocker is cast, not plated, and backed by our 30-year guarantee. If something isn't right, we'll put it right.
