Our door knockers are crafted from AB2, a marine-grade alloy renowned for its durability, used in environments where strength and longevity are critical. While they have the beautiful brass colour people seek, they are far superior to standard brass in resilience. Uncoated and unlacquered, they develop a rich, natural patina over time, adding character and depth with age.

We do not polish our door knockers because smooth, shiny surfaces lose detail, and we are passionate about detail. Each design starts with high-definition 3D printing, allowing us to achieve levels of precision impossible with traditional moulds. This technology lets us capture breathtaking details like hairline bone fuse lines on skulls, a lion's flowing mane, and a fox's razor-sharp fangs. We can even create undercuts and intricate recesses that mould-based casting cannot achieve.

Each piece is meticulously cast in a family-run, aerospace-certified foundry on the edge of the North York Moors, employing the lost wax casting method—a time-honoured technique refined within a modern context. This process ensures unparalleled quality and meticulous attention to detail in every knocker we produce.
